A Bend in the Road iswrittenby Nicholas Sparks, an American novelist, screenwriter and producer (尼古拉斯·斯帕克思，人称“tear bomb”/催泪弹) . He has published eighteen novels and two non-fiction books, among which are Message in a Bottle《瓶中信》, The Notebook《恋恋笔记本》, Nights in Rodanthe《罗丹岛之恋》.

“Listen, Sarah,” he finally said, “you don’t haveto tell me anything you don’t want to. I won’t ask aboutit again. That’s your business, and I’ve learned enough about you in the pass few weeks to know what kind of person you are, ant that’s all that matters to me. I don’tneed to know everything about youand to be honest, doubt that whatever you do would never changethe way I feel about you.”  

What I didn’t realize then was that the guilt and anguish never really left me. Instead they had simply gonedormant, like a bear hibernating in the winter, feeding on its own tissue,waiting forthe season yet to come.

I was strongly drawn to this book from the very first moment I had lain my eyes on it, andit's just so sweet and so full of surprises. Nicholas is absolutely the master of romance and love stories.The unique way he tells stories can be seen and felt in this novel too. You will see the struggles, you will see the conflicts,you will most definitely see the love adventure the male and female main characters have gone on — it's thrilling, sweet, romantic, awkward, tear-wrenching and of course a bit heartbroken at some point, you'll get what I'm saying once you have gone through the whole book. It was that amazing, and if you are a Nicholas Sparks fan, do not pass on this one, you won't regret it! I strongly recommend it!
