Pride and Prejudice—the delicious social comedy(耐人寻味的社会喜剧)/the satisfying love stories（值得一读的爱情故事）/its enchanting and spirited heroine（迷人勇敢的女主人公）.
Itis written by an English author, Jane Austen(简·奥斯汀). When we talk about Jane Austen, it may remind us of a Chinese female writer, Zhang Ailing(张爱玲) because they are both good at writing love stories and captivates tons of readers.
Jane Austen is also the author of Sense and Sensibility(《理性与感性》),Mansfield Park(《曼斯菲尔德庄园》), Emma(《爱玛》), Persuasion(《劝导》).
The story unfolds withwhat is now probably a household quotation:“It is a truth that is universally acknowledged, that a single man in position of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife”.
